Elizabeth Gilbert’s talk helped me to see that career and vocation are not the same things. A career is not the beating heart of the true self I already possess. It’s a part of my life, but only a part. Is the dance between career and vocation difficult? Yes. Is it worth it? Only you can answer that question after living into your own story, but I would say it’s worth a try.
