Module Two, Part Two: Introduction to Vocal Health

The Importance of Vocal Health

When you’re a singer, you’re an athlete. The healthier you are the more stamina you’ll have for performance and all the other aspects of living your vocal life. When your body is healthy, your voice is healthy — and your artistic potential is limitless. But when your body is unwell, you need to know what might be causing the problem, what you can do to feel better so you can show up for that all-important performance, or who to go to for help when you need it.

In this next series of lessons, you’ll learn about the different systems in your body and the role they play in how your voice functions. You’ll also find out what you can do to stay healthy, and the kinds of health practitioners that can support you when you’re struggling.
