Introduction To Module 5: From Practice To Performance Part Two: Rehearsals and Stagecraft

In the last module, you learned a ton
of stuff about practicing:

  • How your brain is wired for learning

  • Practice strategies for developing new skills and sharpening old ones

  • How to use your musical values to create a practice plan

  • What a gig book is and the different systems you can use to create yours.

  • And you have some new tools to make your practice sessions more productive and fun.

In this module, you'll go from practicing alone
to rehearsing with others.
We'll also look at the visual aspects
of your performance and how it
impacts your relationship with your audience.

Here's what we'll cover:

Rehearsals

How to prepare for rehearsals and get the most
out of your time with other musicians.

Body Language

We are visual creatures.
An audience hears 80% with their eyes.
In this lesson, you'll discover how to create
an authentic, emotional connection with your audience
through body language and facial expressions.

Video

Next, you'll use video to practice seeing
which body movements and
facial expressions best communicate t
he emotional content of the songs you sing.
